The Beatrice API
Beatrice is an Italian AI for people at work: it treats users as adults, answers legitimate requests without lecturing and runs on European infrastructure. The API is OpenAI compatible: if your code or tool talks to OpenAI, it talks to Beatrice by changing two values.
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Base URL | https://api.beatriceai.it/v1 |
| Authentication | Authorization: Bearer bea_sk_… |
| Model | beatrice-flash |
In short
- Compatible: the official OpenAI SDKs (Python, JavaScript and others) work as they are. Endpoints:
/v1/modelsand/v1/chat/completions, streaming included. - Private: request content is not stored and never reaches our logs. No training on your data.
- In Europe: the API and the models run on our own machines, in the EU.
- Few, clear rules: we refuse only on the red lines, and then we say so explicitly.
Where to start
- Create a key in the console.
- Follow the quickstart with curl, Python or JavaScript.
- Connect your tools: Open WebUI, Cline, Continue, OpenCode.
Beatrice is in invite-only beta. If your organization is on the waitlist you can already sign in to the console; keys can be created once the organization is active.
